It’s been 25 years since the nations largest alcohol related accident took place. Radcliff Kentucky still mourns the 27 people who died. They were on a planned bus trip for church when a drunk driver hit the bus causing it to go up in flames. 40 people luckily escaped with their lives, but now grieve 25 years later for the 27 who passed. The memorial was filled with tears and speeches of victims and spokespeople. One topic that was brought up was the recent preposition of lowering the blood alcohol level from .08 to .05. This number has proven to prevent drinking and driving in other countries.
This tragedy is mourned as much as it has taught us. Bus safety issues have increased as well as recent topics of drunk driving prevention.
